Let’s face it, if someone is thinking about making a donation, they aren’t searching the web for a worthy cause or organization. More likely, they are already passionate about something (maybe sustainable energy or wine grown in California) and they want the satisfaction of supporting that cause.
If you could find the people who are already passionate about your cause, wouldn’t it be much more effective to reach out to them directly for support rather than occasionally posting to your feed asking for a handout from anyone who notices?
Use social media to connect with people. Take the time to find your audience, the ones truly invested in your cause. Once you do, you can offer them the satisfaction of supporting the cause they are so passionate about.
