When you think of social media, chances are Facebook is the first thing that comes to mind. In addition to being one of the oldest social platforms, Facebook remains the most used, with just over three billion monthly active users (TechCrunch). 

Due to its large active user base, Facebook is one of the best platforms to raise awareness for your mission. 25% of social media marketers claim that Facebook is one of the best platforms for building an online community (HubSpot).

Besides providing access to the largest pool of users than any other platform, Facebook is especially useful for connecting with older audiences (age 65+) that may not be present on newer platforms like TikTok.  

While people use Facebook in many ways, such as getting news or connecting with their favorite brands, the majority use the platform to connect with friends and family (Hootsuite).

Get started on Facebook by setting up a business profile and posting regularly. Then, when you are more familiar with the platform, consider investing in Facebook Ads to further your reach.
